Terrastat® 22-S is an EPA Registered blend of 22% peracetic acid and 5% hydrogen peroxide. Used for a variety of applications across multiple industries, Brainerd’s Terrastat® line of PAA products have a one-year shelf life when stored properly.
Oil & Gas Applications:
In the oil & gas industry, Terrastat® 22-S is designed to scavenge hydrogen sulfide, iron sulfide, and other contaminants from drilling, completion, and production waters. Terrastat® 22-S PAA is typically used in:
- Drilling Muds
- Packing Fluid
- Secondary Oil Recovery Systems
Industrial Applications:
Terrastat® 22-S is used in many industrial applications that call for EPA registered peracetic acid to be used as a disinfectant, antimicrobial, or sanitization microbial. Typical industrial uses for Brainerd’s Terrastat® 22-S registered PAA include:
- Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultra-Filtration (UF) and other membrane cleaning
- Biofouling control in pulp, paper and paperboard mill and water systems
- Control of slime forming bacteria and biofouling in once-through and recirculating cooling water systems (cooling towers, evaporative condensers, and air washers)
- Bacterial control in ornamental and/or recreational water features
- Disinfection and Microbial Control in Sewage and Wastewater Effluent Treatment Plants
Agricultural Applications:
Terrastat® 22-S registered PAA is used in the treatment of agricultural, irrigation, and produce water systems. Used in the agricultural industry as a disinfectant, antimicrobial, and for sanitization, Brainerd’s Terrastat® 22-S is also often used for:
- Antimicrobial rinse of precleaned or new returnable or non-returnable containers
- Treatment of agricultural or irrigation water systems (sand filters, humidification systems, storage tanks, and ponds)
- Treatment of fruit and vegetable process water systems
