Brainerd Chemical provides hydrogen peroxide in concentrations ranging from 1-50%, with the largest volumes available in 34% and 50% in packages or in bulk. Hydrogen peroxide is commonly used in oil and gas refineries for oxidation to reduce sulfur compounds such as thiosulfates, mercaptans, and hydrogen sulfide to remove odors. Additional applications include wastewater treatment (to remove organic impurities), pulp and paper processing, textile manufacturing, and food processing. It is also used in many industries for the sterilization of various surfaces. The mining industry utilizes hydrogen peroxide as an oxygen source and/or oxidizing agent.
