Hydrofluoric acid is a fluorine product that has the ability to dissolve metal, stone, and glass. It is typically stored in a closed system due to its harmful nature in vapor form.

Hydrofluoric acid is used in a variety of over-the-counter products such as toilet bowl cleaners, concrete cleaners, and metal polishes. However, the uses for industrial applications are far more numerous. Brainerd supplies industries across the globe with hydrofluoric acid for quartz purification, glass etching, refrigerant manufacturing, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, high octane gasoline, aluminum production, plastics, electrical components, and fluorescent light bulbs.

Brainerd offers both 49% and 70% HF in bulk trailers, totes, and drums.  Brainerd also blends HF to other concentrations depending on customer needs.  It can be blended with Nitric Acid specifically for metal treatment, aluminum brightening, and metal etching.
