As class sizes continue to increase, and as the complexities of our education system continue to multiply, Springdale needs our help more than ever. Brainerd is excited to report that due to the generosity of the our team, we have already been able to donate close to $700 worth of much needed school supplies to the 3rd grade classrooms. We have also donated our time and attention by helping with their back-to-school night and getting their classrooms setup for the New Year, which the teachers at Springdale found invaluable. We would like to give a special thank you to Randy Boze, Neil Morgan, Angi Waller, Charlotte Woconish, and Tonia Walker for so graciously taking time out of their busy schedules to volunteer. For us, the ability to volunteer has been an absolute privilege. It is a wonderful feeling to give back to the community, which has given me so to Brainerd. The appreciation we’ve received from Springdale has been immense. On top of that, volunteering has also strengthened our relationships with each other here at Brainerd and has introduced us to some great people in our community. Remember, the school year has just begun so please remember to volunteer!

Brainerd Chemical Company participated in the 24th annual Day of Caring this on September 11th. It was incredible to see our community pull together, everyone out there, hard at work, creating an amazing impact on such a meaningful day. Brainerd employees donated a full day of their time to help beautify the grounds at Burroughs Elementary. Our project included: refurbishing two basketball courts, painting and planting. Several hours were spent moving and distributing mulch in the kindergarten playground area. The playground was a lot of work that took most of the day to accomplish. In addition to these projects, we donated two large planters that made the front of the school very inviting. Our company supported this amazing project by donating $500 in supplies and the time of the employees who volunteered. We are very fortunate to work for a company that supports our efforts and our community.
